NOMON’s Second Nutraceutical Product
Launched since November 6th, 2019

Teijin Group's healthcare enterprise NOMON, Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has, since November 6th, 2019, released its second nutraceutical product containing "hon-wasabi" extract (Wasabi-sulfinyl®) on NOMON's e-commerce site.

A plant native to Japan, hon-wasabi is said to have been used for nourishment during the Asuka period. Moreover, hon-wasabi, which is served as a condiment alongside sushi and sashimi for its deodorization effect and antibacterial effects*1, is being tested for its promising benefits.

Wasabi-sulfinyl® is a component extracted from grated hon-wasabi with the pungency of wasabi removed. It contains the rare health ingredient 6-MSITC (6-methylsulfinylhexyl isothiocyanate).
